Eugenio Lasserre
Pablo Siciliano and Eugenio Lasserre are both 26 years old young filmmakers form Argentina. They attended the La Plata National University. Shortly after both started working at several commercials and institutional videos, until they developed Heroes, an animation and educational project aimmed for youngsters, supported by the Argentinian Education Ministry. It earned national media repercusión, and the Medal of Honor in the VII Latin-American Educators Congress.
They´ve also worked for big companies like Encuadre, developing scripts for the animated series and feature animated film “Olocoons” as well as for Encuetro tv channel , and produced shorts for HSBC and the national government. With his shortcut Desire, Lasserre won the Best Argentinian Director and Best Argentinian Shortcut award at FEISAL, and Best Shortcut at UNIFEST (Spain). The Forest is their first feature film, finished on April 2008.
They are already in the pre production stage of their new project, Ceremonia, wich has already been selected for the II Congress of Coproduction of MERCOSUR, within Rio Film Festival of 2008.

The Forest is the story of Dannenberg, a man who lives in isolation in a house in the middle of the countryside. He hunts to eat with his rifle and lives immersed in the most terrible monotony. Once a day, he stands in front of two tombs crowned with a wooden circle and expresses that he feels that someone will come soon. Finally, one afternoon, the pendulum of the clock starts working on its own and he goes out nervously. There he sees the shadow of two people who are approaching. What he was waiting for has come and everything becomes unpredicatble from now onwards.
